Abstract

The role of Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) is vast. We can see its application in various fields like monitoring environment, smart cities, smart health, smart grid and many more. But the limited battery capacity of Sensor Nodes(SNs) creates challenges to the sustainability and efficiency of the SNs. Given paper shows an innovative approach to energy aware mobile charging schemes for WSNs, which utilizes Markov Decision Processes (MDPs). We can optimize the energy distribution within SNs by deployment of Mobile Chargers(MCs) by modeling the charging process as MDP. The method uses the dynamic nature of network topologies, state transition probabilities, and cumulative rewards which considered with various charging methods. These scheme increases optimization, reduce traditional charging methods result in overall improving energy efficiency in WSNs.
