Abstract

The study investigates the usefulness of chatbots in addressing global health concerns and challenges. The global healthcare system is suffering from problems caused by overpopulation, the emergence of new diseases, and conflicts of interest together with the natural environment. Nowadays, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies assist healthcare systems in improving access to care, increasing operational efficiency, and achieving better health outcomes.  This study examined  key applications of AI in health such as early detection of diseases, personalized health planning, optimal use of health resources, and disease prevention through health technologies. It also discusses ethical issues in adopting AI, such as data privacy and health inequities when implementing advanced tools and new solutions. This study conducted a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of data from the Scopus and Web of Science (WOS) databases for the last 50 years (1973-2023). This study identifies the significant factors, thematic clusters and new trends in the field of AI-based public health research. Visual mapping methods were applied to reveal the international collaboration structure, identify the research centers and thematic clusters related to disease management, psychological assistance, and public health policy. The results show that global health researchers need to coordinate multi-disciplinary interactions, set up ethical standards and develop concrete policies to promote the smooth integration of AI into public health. AI can have enormous impact on world health with novel and cost-effective healthcare solutions.
