Abstract

Adolescence is a crucial period of changes in the social, emotional and cognitive realm. There has been a growing academic pressure, competition and evaluation based on performance which has been one of the great stressors of the teenagers these days. One avenue to tackle these challenges as positive opportunities is through a form of entrepreneurial learning which can be manifested in the introduction of some creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, and hands-on learning into the classroom, which we call Edupreneurship. This research not only involves enhancement of the involvement and self-efficacy of the teenagers, but also reduces the academic stress through the role of edupreneurship. The survey and interview of 200 students (secondary schools) in Coimbatore, and Tamil Nadu were performed by a mixed-method study methodology. The results showed that the students in the edupreneurial programs had significantly lower stress levels, higher level of motivation and better problem-solving ability than the students in traditional programs. The paper raises creative pedagogy of the edupreneurship as a new concept, which helps to create resilience, creativity and confidence.
